Cree is leading the LED lighting revolution and making energy-wasting traditional lighting technologies obsolete through the use of energy-efficient, environmentally friendly LED lighting. Recently they announced a $250 Million dollar expansion project making them one of the few businesses in the Triangle area that are still growing despite the current economy. President Obama came to discuss new employment strategies with local business leaders to help provide jobs to the many who are unemployed.
